Tiller

The Tiller adds another level of realism.  It’s a Flightdeck Solutions product and is made of metal, not plastic.  Has a great tactile feel and good spring tension to keep it centered.

Also located in this area is the dimmer panel for the map light and the oxygen panel.  The Free To Test button is wired so that when pressed, the hiss of oxygen is heard on the appropriate speaker in the ceiling on either the captain or first officers side.  This is a nice hidden feature.

Ipad Holders

I also added iPad holders to both sides of the flightdeck.  I use the Foreflight and the Navigraph package with Jeppesen charts when flying.  With additional software installed, both of these software packages show an ownship icon in real time anywhere in the world.  I use the iPad in real flight, as I’m a commercial pilot, and the Foreflight software operates as it would when being used for real.  This adds a great training tool to the flight deck.
